Recommended Reads for Schools

There are numerous recommended reads lists available for students. Many schools maintain a collection of around 50 books per year group that they encourage pupils to explore. Each year, these school reading lists should be updated with a few new titles to include more recent publications. Inevitably, some books may become worn out or lost over time. To address this, we provide an annual top up of 6 books for schools per year group.

These top up books for schools have been selected to represent a variety of text types, including nonfiction, poetry, graphic novels, fiction, and picture books that will engage that year group. Many of these recommended reads have won awards or have been featured on a shortlist, and the others are likely to follow suit! Every book has been published since March 2025. Additionally, the packs have been discounted for all school and nursery orders, making them ideal additions to school reading lists.

We can also supply you with any books in print that are on other school reading lists. Our lists are adaptable, allowing for the ordering of individual titles or recommended reads. Additionally, if you want a larger selection, we can order more top up books for schools.
